Cayman International School (CIS) has solar panels installed on the Arts and Recreation Center (ARC), each rooftop of the classroom wings and the schools Aquatics center bathhouse is covered along with the very visible solar shade canopy that keeps competitors, spectators, teachers and students in the shade. Overall the campus has the highest concentration of solar energy for a K-12 school in the Caribbean including the Cayman Islands.
Cayman International is a private, college preparatory, non-sectarian, co-educational school for students from two years old through Grade 12. It was established to provide an American International educational program for the dependents of the multi-national professionals living in Cayman.
The school buildings were provided through the generosity of the William and Claire Dart Foundation.
Cayman International School has the largest solar capacity for a K-12 school in the Caribbean.

A premier international school located in Camana Bay, Cayman International School (CIS) was founded in 1994. CIS is a private, college preparatory, non-sectarian, co-educational school that provides strong academic and extensive extracurricular programs to students from Nursery to Grade 12.
Located in beautiful Camana Bay in the heart of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, the 13 acre campus includes four age groups, including early childhood (from age two), elementary, middle and high school. CIS has a strong sense of community where students study, learn, play and support each other in a beautiful, safe and student focused environment.
Cayman International Aquatic Center has a custom-built, Marine grade hurricane rated canopy that provides shade for parents, instructors and swimming competition viewers.

The solar panels at the Cayman Distributors Group (CDG) complex can be seen from Eastern Avenue where CDG distributes 80% of the beer, fine wine and liquor consumed in the Cayman Islands. The campus includes a bonded refrigerated warehouse, solar panel shading for shipping/receiving dock , a walk in retailer outlet and a solar panel awning for the 2nd floor corporate operations. Cayman Distributors Group Central Warehouse. 80% of all adult beverages consumed in Cayman start here. The PV solar system is on schedule to pay back the investment in under five years.

Camana Bay Cinema – Project Size: 135kW

The Camana Bay Cinema installation was a first in the Cayman Islands to incorporate a unique arraignment of solar panels to harvest the highest power for a site. Solar panels are installed on the east, west and southern sections of this landmark building making it the first solar powered motion picture cinema of its kind in the Caribbean.
The building also serves as the central activity center for all movie goers, as well as for Sunday church service, large lectures, and town events. It is the largest rooftop PV system in Camana Bay.
Camana Bay Cinema is the largest and highest producing system in the Cayman Islands because of its unique design intended to capture sunlight for up to 10 hours a day.

Dart Realty International Headquarters – Project Size: 67kW

Known for its thoughtful design approach, Dart Realty is an investment, development and management company with more than one million square feet of built assets within a diverse portfolio. This includes the master-planned, mixed-use development of Camana Bay, the residential neighborhood of Salt Creek and the new Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa on Seven Mile Beach. Other projects include the North Sound Golf Club, Cayman Islands Yacht Club and Regatta Office Park.
